The Hartman Value Profile used by Check Your Potential consists of four lists of 18 statements each. Two of them relate to you as a person, and two focus on the working world and/or education. It's important to understand that even the first two rank orders, which look at you as a person, also shed light on professional aspects. Why? Because this part of the test considers you as a whole — and work is simply part of life. The second part of the test focuses entirely on your professional world.
As an example, here is the first list with 18 terms that you should sort from "gives me a good feeling" to "gives me a bad feeling".

Personality test based on the Hartman Value Profile (The person, outer world)
Sounds simple, but has enormous depth. And the brilliant part: you can't fake the HVP. There are no "right" or "wrong" answers. Your result is as unique as your fingerprint and shows you how your thinking works.
Why you can't manipulate it
With typical (online) tests, you can often guess which answer will produce a good result. With the HVP, that's virtually impossible. The statements are coordinated in such a way that it simply isn't possible to consciously present yourself as "better." In other words: the result shows what you're really like. Many participants report that, for the first time, they feel truly seen by a test.
Many experience the result as an aha moment: "Now I finally understand why I keep acting this way." — "No wonder certain things stress me out so much." — "Now I know why I feel insecure in certain situations." That clarity is the big benefit: you understand yourself better — and you can work specifically on the areas that move you forward.
